Prior to hitting the road in 2016, we were looking at ways the kids could record our travels, their adventures and their thoughts. We came across the Caravanning with Kids stand at the Newcastle Caravan and Camping Show, and let’s just say the rest is history.
When we left home, Liam was 12 and Mia was 7 years old. They both loved the journals, and used them every day (or sometimes once a week) to record their travels, what they had been up to and if they liked or disliked a place. Mia drew pictures, Liam asked for photos to be printed out, and all in all they loved creating these memories.
We recently got our hands in the new Travel Journals, and the kids are loving them. Mia spends hours decorating her pages with pictures she had taken – all thanks to her iPod and Sprocket and flower press – and writing about what she has seen, experienced or enjoyed.
Liam still uses his journal and finds it a great way to record his personal thoughts on places, to remind himself of where he wants to return one day without us parents and is something tangible of his journey. The kids love keeping a memory of their time on the road. For purchase check them out HERE on the Caravanning with Kids online shop!
