Uluru: IT'S A MUST DO!

November 18, 2018

Visiting this magnificent part of Australia doesn't come simply, with long hours of driving, expensive fuel and very little to see. The red centre of the Northern Territory is one overly spectacular place; especially Uluru!

Uluru is located around 460km's from Alice Springs and is a sealed road the whole way. It will cost you around $65.00 for a family entry pass and this is valid for 3 consecutive days. Amazing, awesome, cool, spectacular; I'm still unsure of how I would describe this purely epic place.... definitely a MUST DO!!!

Uluru Base Walk

With a super hot morning ahead we got up early and decided to walk the 10km’s around one very big rock.... Uluru, Northern Territory! Yes a very long way and with some troubles with bike hire we still had an awesome time!

Being so up close and personal to the magnificent Uluru was definitely another tick off the bucketlist. With so many people opting to climb for the awesome views, we decided to watch from the bottom. Oh and did you know that only 20% of the rock is above the grounds surface!!

Uluru Sunrise

Sunrise at Uluru... It is a time when you stand quietly, you watch the rock change colour and you take in the beauty, you feel the spirits and you realise that the world is one beautiful place when you take the time to see it!

I don't think there is much else we can say, other than this is something that every person needs to experience, just to understand how significant this rock is to Australia, to life and to Aboriginal Culture....

Field of Lights

Uluru’s field of lights is 100% worth every cent! With one of the largest light displays in the world up for show and a beautiful sunsets/drinks beforehand it sure was one good arvo out... Walking amongst this 50,000 slender stem light artwork was purely spectacular, especially when you remember that you are in the middle of NOWHERE!

It cost around $300 for our family of four, which included happy hour drinks and nibbles. We were picked up at the Caravan Park and that’s definitely where this amazing experience began!!
